Egon Sirmay, died Thursday March 12, 2009 in his Angola home, he was 77. Beloved husband of ,54 Years, Natalie ( Skrzypczak ) Sirmay; loving father of Mary Margaret Andol and CarolAnn (Jeffrey) Premonics; grandfather of Dana Corieri, Tess Brownell, Justin and Jordan Premonics; great-grandfather of Matthew, Natalie and Madison. Friends and Family invited to attend Funeral Services , Saturday March 21, 2009 at 10AM in St. David's Episcopal Church, 3951 Seneca St. West Seneca, NY. Mother Frieda Webb and John Paul Boyer will be officiating.
Born on August 12, 1931, in Budapest, Hungary. Egon came to the United States at the age of 17, weighing only 97Lbs., due to the ravages of WWII and the Holocaust. At age 18, he joined the Naval Reserve and rose to the rank of Master Chief in less than 10years. He spent 38 Years in the Reserves, being selected several times to be on the Selection Promotion Boards in Washington, DC. Egon also taught school at Hutch Tech, Buffalo, NY as well as evening adult classes at E.C.C.
