I knew Doug through attending the book club at Olean Public Library. I will always remember him for his straight forward, often funny,decidedly "unique " points of view. The last time I saw Doug was at the May 18th book club meeting and he told me a story about what he considered a "miracle" that had happened to one of his neighbors. It seems this woman was given a second chance at love and happiness. I remember saying "See ya next time" Life is so precious and also so fragile. My heart goes out to Phyllis and the family. Book club will NEVER be the same without Doug. I will miss him a great deal. with heartfelt sympathies, Cindy Peters
